Advertising - Web Ads

Web advertising that works should be the backbone of your online marketing strategy. Techfocus Media’s JOURNAL publications command a well-qualified, influential audience of electronic system designers. Our web advertising is engineered to be effective in promoting your brand and generating leads.

Our banner locations are designed to get the audience’s attention without annoying them. We don’t clutter every page with ten or twenty banners just to get our impression count up. We carefully display your message alongside our popular editorial content, and use state-of-the-art ad server technology to rotate your ads through our site maximizing the audience coverage and keeping your message fresh.

You want to spend your money getting your customers’ attention, not resizing banner ads, so we base all of our web banners on three of the four sizes from the IAB Universal Ad package. Each size rotates to all of our most popular locations, so your ad will catch people reading articles, news, and other content regardless of whether they came from our front page, our weekly e-mail newsletters, or a search engine or other link.

Each of our banner offerings is designed to maximize some aspect of your campaign performance. To truly fine-tune your campaign, send us multiple creatives and use our powerful ad server client interface to monitor your results in real time. Then you can narrow your ads down to the ones that are generating the best results.

Small Rectangles

Small Rectangles – give the lowest cost per AdView of any of our web ads. That means more qualified customer eyes staring at your logo for less money. If you want to keep your message and brand constantly in front of your customer, small rectangles will give you the most leverage of any of our products.

Leaderboards

Leaderboards – have a higher clickthrough rate, and give the lowest cost per click of any of our web ads. If your goal is to generate sales leads at the lowest possible cost per lead, Leaderboards are the way to go.

Specifications: IAB Leaderboard - 728wX90h pixels - .gif, .jpg, or .swf with 1 link. Max file size 60KB.

Wide Skyscrapers

Wide Skyscrapers – are our biggest, baddest ad with the highest clickthrough rate and the most advantageous locations. If you want the most visibility and the most leads possible, Wide Skyscrapers are the deal. There’s only one per page on our highest traffic locations (feature articles and news stories) and they are placed directly adjacent to the introductory copy of each piece. Bigger sizes plus better placement equals the best results.

Special ads – We also offer two special ad types by the position/week. These tend to sell out early and fast, so contact us well in advance if you’re interested:

Upper Right (Masthead) pin-in-place (URPIP)

Upper Right (Masthead) pin-in-place (URPIP) - You can have the primo position – the upper right corner of the front page adjacent to our masthead – all to yourself. Just book the URPIP for a week, and your competitors will be green with envy. Your message will show first and foremost every time someone visits our site. If you want the most brand recognition you can get – this is it.

Web text/link on the front page

Web text/link on the front page – If your message really needs a few more words than you can put on a banner ad, or if you want to reach the readers more than the mousers… Try a text ad/link on the front page. These are great as announcements for events, and are an excellent complement to a banner-based web advertising campaign.
